May 17th 2004 Marks the 50th Anniversary of Brown v. Board of Education of A Landmark Supreme Court legislation that ended racial segregation in our nations public school Systems. The Supreme court will probably never make a decision of greater social and ideological significance than this one, This decision was the turning point in the desegregation of public schools, and the beginning to an equality among all races. Komfort-Care Health Plan of Los Angeles has launched a nationwide Fundraising effort to improving the curriculum in our nation’s public schools. These efforts will include; National public service announcements on integration of education, producing a historical documentary on Brown v. Board of education and the effect on society 50 years later, this documentary will also let the world know about the Amistad legislation, written by Assemblymen William Payne of New Jersey which requires all public schools in New Jersey to incorporate African American history and contribution alongside alike studies and in chronological order. This is only 1 state we don’t think it should take another 50 year for this to happen. We will also providing Black history materials for download at www.blackmiracles.com. Our Ultimate goal will be to collaborate with a group of Educators in rewriting a new history text book of standard curriculum that will include African American history.
